Find out how SCBWI Networks helped three debut authors

Writing is a long journey, but it doesn’t have to be a lonely one. Communities like SCBWI provide support, advice, and friendship. The relationships we make along the way are strong and lasting; without them, some books might not have been published.

Join us on Sunday 8th September at 19:30 to speak to three SCBWI volunteers, all 2024 debuts, as they talk about their route to publication and the role of the community:

  • Farrah Riaz (Picture Book ‘The Twirly Wiggly Dance’)
  • Philip Kavvadias (Middle Grade ‘Mission: Microraptor’)
  • Zeena Gosrani (Young Adult ‘This Dark Heart’)
  • Hosted by school librarian and children's book reviewer Rebecca Rouillard

The event will explore the importance of writing groups, feedback, creative exchange, workshops, and more!
