March Virtual Chapter Meeting: Podcasting for Authors 101 with Gina Soldano-Herrle

For our March chapter meeting, we’re welcoming author Gina Soldano-Herrle for a virtual discussion on “Podcasting for Authors 101!”

From equipment to content, find out what it takes to create a podcast of your own and why you might just want to start one today! Gina will share her experience beginning the podcast “Getting to the Heart of Why We Write,” along with key factors to consider when building your own show. She will also share example of podcasts by other authors for inspiration. Be sure to bring your questions for audience Q&A time at the end!


Gina Soldano-Herrle is a professional ghostwriter and author. She’s very active in the children’s writing community where she volunteers as a Connect Co-leader for Rocky Mountain SCBWI and was recently awarded a 12x12 Picture Book Challenge scholarship for 2024. Her debut picture book, Nia’s Rescue Box, a story about a child’s first experience with a food rescue, is available at most online booksellers. You can also find recent author interviews about “Why We Write” on Gina’s website at and soon listen to them on your favorite podcast platform. 



  • The event will take place from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM EST on SUNDAY, March 11th, via Zoom.
  • This event is FREE, but you MUST REGISTER in order to receive the Zoom meeting link.


  • The Zoom link will be sent after registration closes at 5:00 PM on FRIDAY, March 9th (two days before the event since this event is on a Sunday).
