The Business of Books In this workshop, I will lead you through the trajectory of selling your book to a publisher. We will touch on many topics including the differences between Traditional and Self-publishing, editor interests and wish lists, and how market adjustments influence when and where you can sell your manuscript. I’ll also guide you through the basics of what to expect from an agency agreement or a publishing contract, highlighting red flags and tricky clauses you should keep watch out for. The workshop will end with a hearty Q+A segment, so bring your burning questions!

Bibi Lewis joined the Ethan Ellenberg Literary Agency in 2014. She is currently building her list in both Children’s and Adult. For Children’s she represents Picture Books through Young Adult, with a particular interest in big hearted Middle Grade, innovative non-fiction and Young Adult Contemporary and Thrillers. A native New Yorker, she can often be found reading on the subway.
