Registration Opens Tues 9/10/2024 - Do you ever wonder what an art director looks for in artwork? Join Ohio North SCBWI for a night of critiques led by Executive Art Director, Brian LaRossa from Scholastic. Slots to have work critiqued are limited to 10 people, but anyone can sign up to observe and learn from his feedback. Each participant that has a critique slot will submit three pieces of artwork and will have 9 minutes with Brian. At the end of the session, there will be an open Q&A for people to submit their questions in the chat. Registration will open for this event on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Participants should email 3 pieces of artwork by 11:59 pm on Tuesday, September 24th to the Ohio North Illustrator Coordinator, Kristi Tartara at ohionorth-ic@scbwi.org. Brian (he/him) is an executive art director in the hardcover picture book group at Scholastic, the world’s largest publisher and distributor of children’s books. He is a teacher, mentor, and writer.
