Webinar: Creating Kids Graphic Novels as an Author/Illustrator with C.S. Jennings

Graphic Novels are popular tools for inspiring kids to read, and there’s never been a better time to create one. Join C.S. Jennings as he hosts a lively lecture and discussion on what graphic novels are and how one goes about creating them. Since he’s both an author and an illustrator, C.S. will delve into this topic from both unique perspectives.

C.S. Jennings is the illustrator of over two-dozen books for kids; working with publishers like Penguin Group Books, Scholastic, Houghton Mifflin, and Random House. He’s the author of Animal Band; Hello, Texas!; Too Close Panda (Penguin, 2024); and Pet Shop Racers, a three-volume graphic novel series for young readers (2024, Disney Hyperion). He illustrated the Texas Library Association Bluebonnet 2020-2021 Master List book, From an Idea to Disney. His specialties are writing for middle-grade, graphic novels, character design, and humor in storytelling. A Texas native, he makes his home in Austin. He finds inspiration biking and hiking the hill country.

The webinar will begin promptly on Zoom at 7pm Central Time. Once you have registered for the event, you will receive an email the morning of the event (6/18/24) with information on how to attend and Zoom links.
