Hi, my name is Erin! I’m an illustrator from McKinney, Texas. I create imaginative and whimsical illustrations that draw viewers into the story. With my artwork, I seek to create new worlds that children of all backgrounds can get lost in and feel a part of.
My love of art started early, with my paintings and artwork hung in my grandmother’s home. I attended college at Brigham Young University, and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in illustration. After graduation, I lived in New York for a summer, working with illustrator Brett Helquist. I also interned at the Society of Illustrators, where I helped hang exhibitions and manage the permanent collection. When I returned from New York I married my husband, Matt, and moved to Texas for new adventures.
Since then I have worked as a freelancer for many clients, including The Friend Magazine and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. I am the Illustrator Coordinator for the North Texas chapter of SCBWI, and recently won an honors award in the SCBWI North Texas Portfolio Showcase.
