After retiring from a long career as an art teacher, I’ve now
turned my attention back to my very first love, picture book
illustrations. During my employment as a
full time art teacher, I also continually worked as a studio painter. My paintings have been exhibited at the Cleveland Museum of
Art, the Butler Institute of American Art, the Canton Museum of Art, the
University of Kentucky, and the Erie Art Museum. I have had several solo exhibitions including
the University of Illinois in Chicago, Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland,
the Mansfield Art Center in Ohio, C.A.G.E. in Cincinnati, the Atrium Gallery at
National City Bank in Cleveland, and Kenyon College in Ohio. I’ve created site specific installations in
Cleveland, Boston, Pittsburgh, Chicago and New York , and my work is included in public and private
collections.I earned my BFA at Ohio University with a dual degree in
Painting and Art Education. My Masters
degree is in Education.I’m very eagerly looking forward to entering this new
chapter in my life, creating wordless picture books!
