As both an illustrator and graphic designer, I work to translate ideas into something concrete and something that can be experienced.
I’m an adjunct lecturer in design at both Sacramento State University and UC Davis. I have worked on a large variety of design projects including logos and brand identity, brochures, magazines, signage, general collateral and advertising for both printed and digital media. My work has been recognized by the National Endowment for the Arts, the Sacramento Advertising Club, the American Institute of Graphic Arts, and Graphic Design USA.
I received my BFA in graphic design from the RISD and my MS from MIT for work done at the Visible Language Workshop. My first steps studying to be an artist go back to high school. I attended the High of Music and Art in New York City and spent many after school hours wandering the great museums of the city.
Now after all these years in graphic design, I am returning to my original interest in the visual arts: drawing, painting and image making as a writer/illustrator.
