Thanks to a science fiction-loving father and an artistic mother, I’ve been attending Renaissance festivals and science fiction conventions since the age of eight. At age nine, I read the Lord of the Rings trilogy and fell madly and irrevocably in love with fantasy literature. Shortly thereafter, I decided to become an artist. I began displaying and selling my work at various art shows. All too soon, other interests got in the way and painting turned into a hobby rather than a profession. With my early start in theatre and a love of dance, I spent my school years studying both. I hold a MFA in Dance, a MA in Theatre and Dance and a BS in Exercise Science. My love of all things fantasy has held true through the years. Upon taking ownership of a dance studio, I wrote a re-imagined version of “Saint George and the Dragon” for a holiday performance. Then and there, I fell madly in love with writing and vowed to never stop. I write and illustrate children’s fairytales and write fantasy and science-fiction romance.
