Nicole Monahan

• Nicole was lucky enough to grow up with parents who supported her love of creating, whether it was painting a mural on the walls of her bedroom or building in her father’s workshop. She also spent many hours looking through childrens books in her mother’s book store where she dissappeared into the many adventures she read.

  

  After graduating from University of Illinois, working as an Architect, and then as an Art Director in a Seattle Gallery, she finally returned to her long love of books.

  

  Today, Nicole works full time in her creekside studio Illustrating for clients and teaching art around the world. She loves to combine flowing lines and composition with beautiful color to bring life, emotion and character out. She strives for excellent service, an open mind,  and completing  projects on-time every time. 

   

  In her personal time, she enjoys exploring the Pacific Northwest with the company of her husband,  3 sweet kids and the wide variety of pets they love, including 2 dogs, 1 cat, 3 lizards, 1 turtle, 2 goats, 4 chickens, and fish. Every one of them provide a lot of inspiration and models for Art!

   

  Nicole is an Active member of SCBWI, is an award winning Artist, and works with clients world-wide in both Illustration and teaching.
