I have had a love of painting and drawing since I was little, and my passion for children’s books has continued into adulthood. After studying at Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design I went into a career in magazine production, and then changed direction after the birth of my daughter to follow my dream of becoming an illustrator. I gained a Distinction in ‘Illustrating Children’s Books’ from the London Art College, where I also achieved the ‘Student of the Year’ award. I am passionate about children’s books and find them a constant source of inspiration and amazement – the local library is one of my favourite places. I work mostly in watercolours and coloured pencils, with a little gouache, on watercolour paper. I am always striving to improve and develop my craft and am inspired by all kinds of things but perhaps most especially by nature and its beautiful colours. I love recreating the magic of childhood with my paintbrush. Some of my clients include Clear Fork Publishing, Stoneworks Communications, The Story Corner Ltd, Cocolivo, My Mother’s Love and The Wild Tomorrow Fund.
