  Hi! I’m Denise and I run the CornDogArt blog, which discusses art, creativity and critical thinking in the classroom. I have had articles and illustrations published in School Arts Magazine,  Arts and Activities Magazine, Horizons Magazine and Edutopia.org.  My art has been published in Science Stories, Teachers and Children as Science Learners. Sharing my experience, I’ve developed an ebook, Using Art to Inspire Creative Writing, a free resource that can be found on my blog.   I am an art teacher in the Scarsdale School District, and teach professional development classes though the Scarsdale Teachers Institute.  An artist and educator of over 20 years, I am passionate about art, critical thinking and anything having to do with dogs.
