Laura Fisk

• Hi, I’m Laura Fisk.  My work is mainly drawn using an iPad pro and an army of pens and pencils.  My background and true art love is in printmaking, especially screenprinting.  With my work, I love the idea of making people happy and am obsessed with getting the right expression & movement for each character.  

  
  

  I’m thrilled to have my first illustrated book out with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, “Sleeping bags to S’Mores,” an intro to camping book.  I also own a small paper and household goods company called Fisk & Fern that features a whole bunch of Funny Food characters who live on dish towels, magnets, and other items.  My work has been featured in Buzzfeed and Parade Magazine amongst other wonderful places.  I live in Austin, TX with my husband, young son, and our ridiculous pug, Salsa.  I’m also the IC of the Austin SCBWI region.
