• I began writing short stories in the first grade. I wrote so many the teacher called me “The Story Lady”. As life would have it, however, I got busy with school, then college, then graduate school, where I received a master’s degree in speech and hearing science. As a speech-language pathologist, I provided services to children with many types of communication and related challenges. I wrote many materials for my students, and later wrote e-courses, articles for other professionals.  I retired in 2016, and have been writing ever since, when not playing with my two grandsons, Cam, 8, Ben, age 6, my neurotic Bichon, and my hamster, Pancake.

  • I am a retired speech-language pathologist who worked with children of all ages with communication and related challenges. My forty years in various settings (schools, clinics, homes, hospitals, preschools) plus my fourteen years traveling the country presenting one day seminars stressing the need for better collaboration among professionals and parents in helping children with brain-body challenges. My mission in retirement has been to continue to educate others about the need to integrate services to help children with all kinds of needs, survive and thrive.

I began writing when I retired. My son and I collaborated on a children’s picture book entitled The Haunted Zoo. I just recently published my first full length novel for middle grades/families entitled: Crystal Child: The Diamond Star Saga, whose protagonist has ADHD, anxiety, and PTSD and whose twin brother has autism. Together, they save humanity!
