ABOUT CAROLYN DEE FLORES

  • Carolyn is the author/illustrator of over 14 books for children, including the picture book The Amazing Watercolor Fish, and she wrote the short story “How to Exist in a City of Ghosts” which is featured in the upcoming book Living Beyond Borders: Growing Up Mexican in America which has received starred reviews from Booklist and the School Library Journal (Pub. date: Aug. 17, 2021; Philomel).

    Carolyn has a YouTube channel for kids and is currently working on a YA novel called Lineage about her two 12th great grandmothers: Ana de Caballeria de Estrada of Aragon (granddaughter of King Ferdinand II) and Leonor Cortes Moctezuma (granddaughter of Moctezuma II).
