ABOUT CRISTY BURNE

Children’s author Cristy Burne has worked as a science communicator for 20 years across Australia, Japan, Switzerland, the UK, US, South Africa and beyond. She has performed in a science circus, worked as a garbage analyst, and was a reporter at CERN when they turned on the Large Hadron Collider. Cristy is a popular presenter and is passionate about empowering our next generation of creative science-savvy citizens. She also loves chocolate.

Blending STEAM and creativity to enthuse, engage and empower
I believe we all have the potential to live more creatively and courageously.
And right now, with global challenge to tackle, we need creativity more than ever.
That’s why I choose to use my experiences as a science writer and children’s author to inspire resilience, creativity, curiosity, and a passion for living with passion.
My work is all about inspiring kids to play an active part of their world. My focus is on empowering our next generation of science-savvy citizens.
