• I am proud to be the Illustrator Coordinator for the Louisiana/Mississippi Region of SCBWI and a published author and illustrator.

I’ve written and illustrated two picture books. “Moonsong” was published in 2021 and “A Tip Tap Tale” was published in 2018. I have also illustrated folk tales from both Louisiana and Canada. “Peg Bearskin, A Traditional Newfoundland Folktale” was awarded the Aesop Prize by the Children’s Folklore Section of the American Folklore Society.

I was shortlisted for the Lillian Shepherd Memorial Award for Excellence in Illustration in the 2020 Atlantic Book Awards for the illustrations I created for “Peg Bearskin.”

I’ve also illustrated works for Cricket Media’s Faces Magazine.

My work has been included in Communication Arts Magazine’s Illustration Annual, the Society of Illustrators Los Angeles Illustrators West Show and the Society of Illustrators New York Show.

My illustration portfolio has received the first place honors at the SCBWI Louisiana/Mississippi Conference portfolio review and the SCBWI Houston Conference portfolio review.

  • I am proud to have grown up Louisiana where I am constantly inspired by its lush green landscape and rich culture. I draw incessantly and love to create beautiful things based on the folklore and magic that surrounds me.

Whether in the written word or illustrated image, my world is filled with rare animals, hints of magic and bits of string.

I am devoted to promoting a love of arts and literature in children and to elevating writing and illustration as an art form to be treasured.
