ARTIST STATEMENT

  • My goal as a writer of books for kids and teens is to give them what I got and still get as a reader: stories that matter–stories that last, make us think about ourselves and others in a different way, and make us know at the core of our being that we have the power to transform ourselves and the world. Wow, that’s deep (but I mean every word). I also hope readers laugh a little along the way and don’t eat really aromatic cheese when they’re around me.
