    Hiya!

    I’m Donna Louise Sadd and I’m a jack-of-all-trades-master-of some.
I was born in Brooklyn, New
    York
and my family moved to Long Island
when I was 4 years old. My parents were both from Brooklyn so,
yes, I’ve got that accent. Living in S. Florida for 16 years and now
almost 6 years in Texas really hasn’t tempered it at all ya’ll, and that’s
just the way I like it. (Never forget where you come
    from!)

    I began cooking
at nine years old and planned/executed
    countless events for my mother,
family and friends in the years that followed.

I’ve been antiquing for more years than I care
to remember and I’m also a D.I.Y’er…so stay tuned to
    my blog
     for handy-dandy recipes,
    tips and how-to’s.

I can’t think of anything better
than being on the water doing… you name it fishing, boating, clamming, dropping a crab
trap off the dock; now that’s life.
Needless to say, I’m not doing a lot of that here in Central Texas Hill
    Country…now it’s goats!

    Fast forward, I chose
the entrepreneurial route after working in advertising and corporate life. I created
Camp Bowser, an intimate pet retreat and, while in law school,
    invented a patent-pending fashionable clip, Yarmulklips®
for Jewish mens’ head coverings, and
later moved on to liquidating homes and hotels alike to reap value for clients and keep assets out of landfills.

Words have been my life. That’s why I shake my
head now…I believe I am finally doing what I was meant to do. I was a copywriter and moved up to assistant to the
    president of a New York
    advertising agency and marketed my
small businesses and those of others using well-crafted
words. Ask my family, moreover; ask my dogs, goats, cat,
birds, and turtle, the critters to
which I’ve rhymed and sang ever-changing, little ditties to each
and every day for a thousand years! (You know what they say; if you can’t have kids you have tons and tons of animals.)

    Speaking
of kids, I was hanging out with my young
nieces one day and we wondered why
    my newly-adopted little dachshund Lucci
    (pronounced loochy) never gave smoochies,
and I started rhyming verses off the top of my head while sketching the beginning pages of the children’s picture
    story, “Lucci The No Smoochie
    Poochie.” We had a ball
deliberating how the story would go and how the pictures
should look and it was one of the most fun times we’ve ever had!

LUCCI THE NO SMOOCHIE POOCHIE is a cute
little story that I hope you and the kids in your life will enjoy! Thanks for
taking the time to read it!
