ABOUT ELAINE ANN ALLEN

Elaine grew up in Goldsboro, Maryland along with a large loving family and many pets. She earned a BA in English Literature from Washington College and has a Master’s in Marketing. Elaine currently resides near Annapolis, Maryland where she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children. Elaine’s books include the Olly the Oyster series, Mallory the Forgetful Duck, Frogs Eat Spaghetti…Right? and The Halloween Caper.
Elaine Ann Allen is best known for her children’s picture book series, Olly the Oyster, which has been cited by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration as an educational resource for students to learn how oysters filter and clean the water. Her books have been featured in educational programs at schools, libraries, museums and environmental organizations. Elaine enjoys writing children’s stories about nature that are both fun and educational.
ARTIST STATEMENT
I love writing books about animals and nature. Check out my newest release, A Fine Day on the Bay for a fun and entertaining way to share with children the importance of cleaning up the environment.
