Ellie I. Beykzadeh is an Iranian- American visual artist. She has a BFA in visual arts (painting) and Master of arts management from George Mason University, Virginia. Ellie is an avid traveler and photographer.
Having lived and traveled in many places for so long, she learned to put cultural differences in perspective. Ellie draws inspiration from culture and heritage. She published her first children’s book portraying girl power based upon a Persian folktale.
Namaki and the Giant is Ellie Beykzadeh’s first experience as an author and illustrator. She tries to create a colorful world in which girls make their own choices and save the day too. For illustrating Namaki and the Giant, Ellie was inspired by Persian miniature paintings in terms of colors, layout, and composition as well as classical Persian architecture and costumes.
