I am a 4th grade teacher in the Oklahoma City area. I have taught for 37 years.
I love to travel, cook, read and write. I love my OKC Thunder and Oklahoma State University Cowboys, and am an avid soccer fan.
I also love live theater, museums, art galleries, and movies.
My first book, THE SURVIVOR TREE, is the story of the tree that survived the Oklahoma City Bombing in 1998, and became a symbol of hope and resilience for all.. The book is written in first person from the tree’s perspective.
THE SURVIVOR TREE won the 2018 Oklahoma Book Award Director’s Award, given for a book of special merit. It also won the 2019 Comstock Read Aloud Award.
