I’m the author of the nonfiction picture book Small Matters
from Millbrook Press, and of the forthcoming (fall ’23) Nature Is a Sculptor (Millbrook) and In a Cave (Gnome Road).A former Silicon Valley proofreader/copy editor, I’ve been a writer since the tender age of nine when I was
bitten by a Jabberwocky, entered a state of literary amazement, and never fully recovered. I write in a variety of flavors: fictional stories filled with heart, nonfiction at the intersection of poetry and nature, and verse (both
lovely and wacky).Aside from my picture book characters, I live with my
inspiring kids and rocket-scientist husband in the SF Bay Area. I’m an active member of several writers’ groups, the 12×12 Challenge, and SCBWI.
