ABOUT INGRID KALLICK
Ingrid has recently become the Illustrator Coordinator for the Wiscosnsin chapter of the SCBWI. Her illustrations have appeared in Cricket magazine, Communication Arts, The Spectrum Contemporary Fantastic Art Annual, Scientific American, the cover of Science, in textbooks, advertising and print design. Her cover Illustrations for Cricket Magazine, “Rasa’s Library” and “The Clockwork University”, won the 2011 and 2015 SCBWI Magazine Merit awards from the SCBWI. won the 2012 SCBWI Magazine Merit award. Her Illustration “Procession” was selected for the SCBWI Bologna Image Gallery and received an honorable mention. Her Illustration “Wolfskin and the Huntress” first appeared in “Once UponA Christmas” published by Christmas Press and won a Bronze Award from the Society of Illustrators Los Angeles in 2015.
Ingrid’s short fiction has won the Larry and Eleanor Sternig Short Fiction Award form the Council for Wisconsin Writers. Two of her short stories appeared the 2016 Midwest Review, and another won an honorable menion from the Wisconsin Academy of Arts, Sciences and Letters.
My work is inspired by the imagination, folklore, and natural history.
