ABOUT IRENE CHAN
I am an artist, designer, and illustrator. I was born and raised in Hong Kong, went to the US when I was 19, and received my BFA in graphic design from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah GA. I lived and worked in San Francisco, California, before settling in Atlanta, Georgia.
I am the illustrator for the “Baby Loves Science” series, written by Ruth Spiro and published by Charlesbridge Publishing. For the past years I have also worked with Simon & Schuster, HarperCollins, Jumping Jack Press, Hello Magazine (Highlights), Benchmark for children’s books and magazines.
I work mostly with watercolor, vector (Adobe Illustrator), and Photoshop, sometimes with gouache, color pencils and textures / collages.
