ABOUT JEFF CROSBY

  • After receiving my BFA in Communication Design from the University of North Texas, I attended the Illustration as Visual Essay program at the School of Visual Arts and received my MFA. I have been working as a freelance illustrator for the past twenty years. In addition to many editorial clients, I have worked for many children’s magazines, including Highlights, Scholastic, and Cobblestone. I have illustrated six children’s books and co-illustrated another two with my wife, Shelley Ann Jackson. One of those was Little Lions, Bull Baiters and Hunting Hounds: a History of Dog Breeds which we co-wrote as well. I have also written and illustrated Wiener Wolf for Hyperion. My latest book out in Winter 2014 is The Rockabilly Goats Gruff, done for Holiday House.
I recently moved to Cambridge, UK with my wife and daughter.
