ABOUT JENNIFER BOWER

  • Jennifer Bower is the illustrator of the picture book, THE FUNNIEST MAN IN BASEBALL: THE TRUE STORY OF MAX PATKIN (Clarion, 2018). She grew up on a steady diet of classic cartoons and mid-century picture books, many of which still bear her bite marks. Twenty years after picking up her first crayon, she earned a BFA degree. 

    Her artwork has been featured in Highlights Magazine for Children, Guide Magazine, Cantata Learning and Franciscan Media/Servant Publishing. Jennifer lives in North Carolina with her herd of fur babies, where she leads the monthly SCBWI-Carolinas QCKidLit critique group and volunteers at Misty Meadows Mitey Riders therapeutic riding program. She is the proud mom to one kick-ass college kid!!!
