ARTIST STATEMENT

  • Hey, there, I’m Joan Holub, author of over 150 books for children. Writing is my passion and art is my mini-passion (I started as an illustrator). I’m incredibly lucky to work with amazing illustrators like Tom Lichtenheld, Scott Magoon, Melissa Sweet, Lynne Avril, Tim Bowers, Leslie Patricelli, Glen Hanson, Chris Dickason, Daniel Roode, and James Dean. And super-lucky to work with co-author, Suzanne Williams. We’ve written five series together that are modern spins on mythology or fairy tales: Goddess Girls (25+ titles); Little Goddess Girls (4+ titles); Thunder Girls (4 titles); Heroes in Training (15+ titles); Grimmtastic Girls (8 titles)! My picture books include Little Red Writing; Zero the Hero; and the New York Times bestseller Mighty Dads.
