• I’ve been writing my whole life but never took it very seriously until I survived a ruptured brain aneurysm in 2005. By early 2007 I finally felt like myself again and realized if I was ever going to be a published writer, I’d better get busy writing. That’s when I joined SCBWI, started attending conferences, and found a critique group. Over the next ten years, I wrote several picture books, four MG novels, and one YA novel. My short fiction has been published in various literary magazines and in Highlights. In Sept 2017, I survived another brain aneurysm rupture. Reading and writing are more difficult for me now, but I continue to persevere. My debut novel in verse, EVERYWHERE BLUE, came out June 1, 2021, from Holiday House.
