ABOUT JODIE DAVIDSON

  • Jodie is an illustrator, teaching and community artist, project coordinator and an aspiring writer. After graduating with a Bachelor of Contemporary Art in Visual Art, completing a Certificate IV in Small Business Management and having a second illustrated book published, she has coordinated public art projects, worked with musicians, indigenous and local communities, run creative workshops and continued to work on developing her own picture books that explore the plants and animals that inhabit the natural environment.

Jodie lives in a quirky and colourful house in the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. When not working within the community, she can be found in her garden talking to the bush tucker plants, fruit and vegetables, drawing, writing, or sculpting objects from wire and various found materials.
