ABOUT JUDITH ROBBINS ROSE

  • Represented by Sean McCarthy Literary Agency, Judy’s debut novel is Look Both Ways in the Barrio Blanco, published by Candlewick Press, Andrea Tompa editor. The book received a second place as well as an honorable mention in the 2016 International Latino Book Awards, and was selected for the American Booksellers Association’s INDIES INTRODUCE NEW VOICES PROGRAM. It received glowing reviews on various blog sites and in major publications, including Publishers Weekly, School Library Journal, Booklist and The Chicago Tribune. The novel was named an ABC Best Book for Young Readers, and also received the 2015 INK Award for Best MG/YA Novel. Judy was named 2015 INK Writer of the Year.

    Judy graduated Cum Laude from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Broadcast Journalism. She lives with her husband and two sons in the Denver metro area where she serves the immigrant population as a volunteer mentor and tutor for at-risk youth, and acts as a fund-raiser for community projects in underserved areas.
