ABOUT JUNE DORDAL

  • I live in Moorhead, MN with my husband and the spirit of our toy poodle, Charlie, who visits on occasion. Our two, grown daughters have flown the coop which you think would leave me lots of time for writing but those darn fudge brownies keep calling my name. I do manage to squeeze out a few words in-between lounging on my fabulous, red sofa and reading from the stack of books accumulating on my desk, my Kindle and the floor. I received the Emily Award in 2011 and a nonfiction essay was published in the 2013 Lake Region Review. While I have written picture books, my heart belongs to novels, both middle grade and YA. I believe life is one, big comedy sketch and laughter is a beacon that brightens up even the darkest corners. Besides, crying makes one’s face all blotchy and who needs that. . .
