ABOUT KEKA NOVALES

I am originally from Guatemala (Central America) and now Texas is my home. I have three children and three dogs. I write under the pen name Keka Novales. I have moved several times. My journey started in South Carolina, then Kansas, afterwards we moved to Florida, and currently we live in Texas. Every State has provided a unique and beautiful experience. Moving has taught me to be flexible and always enjoy each moment.
I grew hearing legends and stories from my grandparents. Guatemala is a small country, but very rich in culture. Now I want to share those stories and traditions with the next generation.
When I am not writing, I am having adventures with my family.
ARTIST STATEMENT
My goal is to write books for children that inspire the next generation to love and embrace cultural differences, heritage, and family through kindness and open communication.
