Kerry G. Johnson is an award-winning art director, illustrator and graphic designer. His work has been published in local and national publications throughout the web. Kerry also illustrates caricatures at private homes, schools and corporate events.
His illustrated children’s books include:- Hannah’s Visit with Nana by Ivy Fuller Williams
- “Believing in Yourself” by Erica L. Pullen
- “You Can’t Can’t Move an Elephant in One Day” by Nicolle Brazil
- “Princess Tyler and Meets the Storytelling Fairy” by Candice Richardson
- “Soap and Bubbles” by Tamara L. Harris.
He’s also is the co-creator of the superhero comic book series Spectra which he illustrated for PhysicalCentral.com. Kerry resides in Columbia, MD. with his wife and two children.
ARTIST STATEMENT
Kerry G. Johnson is an award-winning illustrator and art director whose artwork has appeared in newspapers, magazines, books, TV, and social media. Additionally, he has illustrated children’s books along with a diverse line of multicultural greeting cards.
He has worked with traditional publishers and independent authors. He also publishes titles under his brand Kerryville Publishing. In addition, Kerry has worked as graphics director for several newspapers and organizations throughout the U.S.
Kerry also illustrates digital gift caricatures and on-site caricatures at private homes, schools, corporate conferences and other community events
He’s a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators (SCBWI), National Cartoonists Society (NCS), the Association Media & Publishing (AM&P), and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
