• Kimberly is a children’s book author, high school teacher, and theatre director. After losing her stillborn sister at the age of four, Kimberly grew up as a big sister to many children whom her parents fostered and adopted. Her first book, Goodbye Sister: A sibling’s book for infant loss, was published in September 2022. Kimberly is currently developing a young reader’s series based on the adventures of her daughter, Hazel, and lovable dog Henry. 

    Kimberly earned her Master of Letters degree in Shakespeare and Performance from Mary Baldwin University, and she received her BA in Theatre from Hunter College, CUNY. Kimberly has worked extensively in nonprofit management and youth development. She previously served as Director of College Prep Programs for the American Shakespeare Center and is the former Executive Director of Camp Quest, Inc.When she’s not teaching and writing, she serves as a Humanist celebrant. She loves traveling, tea parties, and gardens full of roses. Kimberly lives with her family in Harrisonburg, VA.
