ABOUT KIM NORMAN

  • Kim Norman is a children’s book author, poet and performer with more than a dozen books published by Sterling, Dutton, Dial and Scholastic, and titles forthcoming from Farrar, Straus & Giroux. She has traveled to more than 200 schools in the US spreading “the gospel” of reading at bedtime. With so many school visits under her belt, Kim established a blog, COOL SCHOOL VISITS, to help other authors navigate the pitfalls of author visits. See blog link below.

Kim’s titles include TEN ON THE SLED, illustrated by Liza Woodruff (Sterling, 2010) and I KNOW A WEE PIGGY, illustrated by Henry Cole (Dial, 2012.) WEE PIGGY is a Texas 2×2 book, as well as offered in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Other titles include THIS OLD VAN, Sterling Children’s Books (2015) and STILL A GORILLA, Scholastic (2016) and THE BOT THAT SCOTT BUILT (Sterling, 2016), which was a Kohl’s Cares selection in the summer of 2017.

Kim is represented by the Andrea Brown Literary Agency in California. To learn more about her books and school visits, visit her website at www.kimnormanbooks.com.
