ABOUT KRISTINA LYN HEITKAMP

  • Born in Washington D.C., Kristina has lived in several states across the United States but happy to call beautiful Utah home. She earned a B.A. in English from the University of Utah and a M.A. in environmental science and natural resource journalism from the University of Montana.

Kristina has authored over ten non-fictions books on various topics, such as ancient human history and mechanical energy. She is a freelance researcher for National Geographic Books, and a contributor to the children’s science magazine Muse. When Kristina is not exploring Utah with a fishing pole or hiking boots, she can be found sitting by a river, plein air writing.

ARTIST STATEMENT

  • “Our truest response to the irrationality of the world is to paint or sing or write, for only in such response do we find truth.”
