• I wrote poetry from an early pre-elementary school age, and immersed myself in fairytales, picture books, music, arts & crafts, and dance as a young child. I was a songwriter and headed Publishing with Atlantic Records in New York City after graduating school. Several years later I turned to writing verse for whimsical greeting card companies with which I quickly found success. For the past 25 years, I’ve enjoyed sharing my children’s poetry, stories and illustrations in books, magazines and anthologies. Since every venue, every publication, and even publisher has their own style, it keeps me challenged and inspired!

I’ve celebrated several published picture books, and hundreds of poems published in children’s magazines, anthologies, and educational testing materials. I enjoy giving poetry workshops in schools and libraries. My website has useful information for children, teachers, students, parents and friends – poetry writing tips, book and event updates, occasional blogging, and original poetry and artwork. I serve as Creative and Publishing Advisor with Red Clover Reader.

My first poetry compilation for children, titled Dozy Poems, Cozy Days, was released in 2014. My second poetry book, titled Spinning Circles: Action Poems was followed by Gibber/Animal Acrostics. My poetry book, A Star Full of Sky is published by Daffydowndilly Press and won several awards including “Best in Children’s Literature”/Dragonfly.
Poetry compilation with Argentinian illustrator Carina Povarchik, Shimmer, Songs of Night landed the #1 spot on Amazon’s Hottest Children’s Poetry Book chart. In 2018 I’ve celebrated the release of My Community, my first rhyming picture book with the theme of tolerance, diversity and kindness.
I’d be happy if you visited and interacted with me on my website, Facebook pages, Instagram or Twitter!
