ABOUT LAURA JENSEN-KIMBALL
Living in the Midwest with my husband and four children, I enjoy writing stories that both parent and child can relate to and laugh about together. Even though my favorite “work” is writing children’s stories, I also am a Master’s prepared educator teaching in a local community college.
One of the best rewards that has come from publishing my children’s stories is author visits. I have had the opportunity to visit with over 30 classrooms around Central Iowa, read my books and share my publication journey. The children love the face-to-face interaction and I know it gets those little wheels turning in their heads. Promoting literacy and possible creating a spark in a young mind is my ultimate goal.
Several of my books have been donated to local classrooms, libraries and charities. I have shared proceeds of book sales at directed author events such as, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Dream Catchers Foundation, local church events and other causes. This is a small way to give back to my community and that is important to me.

As a mother of four children, I have had the joy of reading thousands of books to the little bodies sitting in my lap. My love for children’s books continue, even if my kids are too big to sit with me and read together. My stories are based off of motherhood and all its blessed experiences. My favorite books are the ones that make my children laugh and possibly learn a valuable lesson.
