ABOUT LELA NARGI

  • I live in Brooklyn, NY with my husband, our teen daughter, and a huge rabbit. The Honeybee Man (Schwartz & Wade 2011) was my first picture book and garnered a lot of lovely acclaim. A Heart Just Like My Mother’s, my second book (Kar-Ben/Lerner) released in January 2018; two middle grade science books I wrote for National Geographic will publish in August 2018: Absolute Expert: Dinosaurs and Absolute Expert: Volcanoes. I’ve been a journalist and author (of 14 books for adults) for 30 years.
