Hi, I’m Lezlee!
I am a social psychologist and artist. Nature definitely makes its way into my art, reflecting how I spend my time: hiking, camping, kayaking, and foraging with my family. I’m originally from the Northwest, but have lived in Appalachia Ohio, and now in Oregon’s Willamette Valley. Each of these beautiful regions has expanded my love of the natural world and influenced my art. My love of sci-fi and fantasy are also prominently displayed.
ARTIST STATEMENT
My favorite things to illustrate are animals – both realistic and anthropomorphized, children in nature, powerful girls, teen drama, fantasy creatures, witchy worlds, and cool space stuff like moons, nebulas, and robots.
I use lots of high contrast and bright colors in my art. I work in both traditional and digital media.
