ABOUT LISA CINELLI

Lisa Cinelli is a painter, children’s book author/ illustrator and Teaching Artist.
Lisa taught Children’s Book Illustration at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago from 1994 until the winter of 2013 when she packed up a little yellow truck and moved to New York City.Lisa works in a studio filled with paints, brushes, easels, books and sketchbooks. She loves color and line. She likes to paint and draw in oils, gouache (an opaque watercolor) and ink.Lisa teaches privately and also travels to schools, conferences and libraries to lead hands on artmaking workshops weaving together the words and pictures of a story.
