I discovered the joy (and challenge!) of writing children’s PB’s a few years ago. Ever since then, I have been working to hone my skills in writing and learn more about the literary world, with the great hope and goal of getting my little MS’s published. Writing is a release for me. It’s a way of sharing a part of myself with others and it’s a way for me to be a kid again- by allowing my mind to travel back to childhood experiences with the freedom to create something unique that even the big kid in me will identify with. I have heard it said before that, “the joy is in the journey”. To see a book come to life, your words on a printed page for others to read and share… What could be better than that?! I am grateful to be a part of the SCBWI so that I can connect with other like minded souls who also share the same passion I do.
