ABOUT MILANKA REARDON

Milanka Reardon is co-Illustrator Coordinator for the New England
Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. She is a graduate
of the Children’s Book Illustration and the Natural Science Illustration
Certificate programs from the Rhode Island School of Design. She illustrated the picture book, An Old Man and His Penguin: How Dindim Made Joao Pereira De Sousa An Honorary Penguin written by Alayne Kay Christian and released in August, 2020 by Blue Whale Press. She also illustrated the picture books Who Will? Will You? by Sarah Hoppe and Noodles’ and Albie’s Birthday Surprise, which is a 2018 Mom’s Choice Gold Award Recipient. Her illustration of “A Beary Special Friend” won the R Michelson Galleries Emerging Artist Award
at the NESCBWI 2016 Conference. Her illustration of a dragon bridge won
first place in the unpublished division in the NESCBWI poster showcase
in 2012. Milanka’s artwork has been displayed at the Wedeman Gallery’s
“Picture a Story” exhibit, the Warwick Museum of Art’s “Tell Me a
Story” exhibit, at the Spring Bull Gallery in Newport, RI and at the R
Michelson Galleries in Northampton, MA. She lives with her family in
