ABOUT MIRIAM SELMI REED

Graduated at the School of Design in Zurich, Switzerland. Continued education at the Art Center in Pasadena, The American Animation Institute in North Hollywood and UCLA. Winner of the US-Artist Greencard in 1996. Moved to New York City with studies at Columbia University, later on to Los Angeles and worked for the Entertainment industry until 2008.
Since 2009 back in Europe, founded a Design/Illustration company in Zurich, Switzerland and currently working internationally for various clients.
ARTIST STATEMENT
Born and raised in Zurich Switzerland – BFA at School of Design in Zurich – continued education at Columbia University, NYC, UCLA Los Angeles, Art Center Pasadena and the American Animation Institute in North Hollywood – several gallery art shows in NYC which lead to US – Artist Greencard in 1997. Worked as an illustrator in Los Angeles for Entertainment, Fashion, Publishing and Advertising from 1998 until 2008 in Los Angeles, California. Married to Illustrator / Art Director Mike Reed – currently living with her family and her rescued dogs (Ziggy & Wolfie) in a Swiss chalet close to Zurich, Switzerland.
