ABOUT MITA BORDOLOI
Mita Bordoloi was born in the foothills of the eastern Himalayan mountains in Assam, India. She spent her early years at the edge of Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the banks of Brahmaputra River, but has been living in the U.S. most of her life. She has worked and taught in India, China and the US. She is the author of Bulbuli’s Bamboo (Tulika Books, Chennai, India, 2012); Bumoni’s Banana Trees and the Raiding Wild Elephants, The Tiger Mom, The Queen’s Game, and Phuleswori: The Flower Princess (MeeGenius, New York, 2013-2014, then part of Houghton Mifflin Harcourt).
As her writings stem from her unique experiences in diverse regions of the world, Mita Bordoloi engages the young readers in the classrooms with refreshing multicultural presentations.
