ABOUT PHOEBE FOX

  • I am an elementary school librarian-turned author. Mother to three boys, to whom I love to read, I have a passion for children’s books. My first book, STARRY’S HAIRCUT, was illustrated by Sara Ruhe and printed and bound in Phoenix, AZ. UP UP UP came next and was published by Southwest Human Development, Arizona’s largest non-profit dedicated to early childhood. Fellow SCBWI member, Michael Hale, is responsible for the fabulous illustrations. My third book is the sequel to STARRY’S HAIRCUT., and is titled STARRY GETS LOST. It was illustrated by Tucson artist Nikki Brzescinski. School visits and literacy events around the Valley are how I promote all three books. I am currently in a critique group that meets once a month, and I have more works in progress. I adore books, respect children and believe in the power of reading!
