ABOUT PHYLLIS J. PERRY

  • Phyllis J. Perry has published over 90 books for children and adults in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. In 2009, she received the Colorado Authors’ League Top Hand award in the category of children’s books (The Ghost in the Music Room) and in general fiction for adults (It Happened in Rocky Mountain National Park.)  In 2016, the Colorado Authors’ League presented her with their Lifetime Achievement Award. She makes school visits and attends school book fairs. She was a regular contributor to Library Sparks Magazine. Her most recent books include: Stand Up and Whistle; Missing Bones; Buddies, Bullies, and Baseball; All About Julia Morgan; and the second edition of It Happened in Rocky Mountain National Park. Phyllis is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, with a doctorate degree from the University of Colorado, and is a former educator with Boulder Valley Schools.
