• I grew up loving books to the point that my parents had to ground me from reading on a frequent basis. I would then hide my books in the towel cabinet in the bathroom and read during ‘bathroom breaks’. Don’t judge them too harshly, it really was the best punishment for me! I loved books!

This love followed me throughout my life, and I became an English/Speech teacher and a Forensics coach after college. Now I teach Adult ESL in the evenings and spend my days with my two boys, reading books and building with Legos.
In 2015 I joined SCBWI, and in 2016 I joined the 12×12 Challenge. These groups have educated me, encouraged me, and built a passion within me for writing for this special audience. My writing journey is progressing and I can’t wait to see what is around the bend.

  • I endeavor to write fun read aloud stories that both children and adults can connect over. Stories that speak to common experiences, or just silly situations, that leave the reader with more understanding about themselves, others, or the world around them. With that understanding I hope they go out to improve the world, and possibly themselves.
