ABOUT ROBIN CHILSTROM

I’m a multi-disciplinary artist/educator with 40+ years experience teaching and working professionally as a performing and visual artist. I’ve worked for diverse commercial and theatrical clients to illustrate, design & build sculptural costumes, theater sets, museum and trade exhibits and parade floats. I’ve also worked in K-12 public and private schools, residential treatment facilities and community sites, guiding thousands of kids through the process of creating original stories, plays & songs. And of course, to share our stories, we created puppets, masks, costumes, sets, props, murals and comics. Story-making was the dominant focus of my work through Earth Arts NW, an environmental-arts program for kids. Some EA stories are available for reading here. I now engage with community through the Storieseed Project, write & illustrate stories for kids, and support the work of other artists through Dreaming Earth Press.
